Australia’s conventionally-armed nuclear-powered submarine program will require the collective effort of thousands of highly skilled Australians. In March 2024, the Australian Submarine Agency (ASA) launched a Nuclear Graduate Program aimed at attracting high-performing graduates from STEM or nuclear-related disciplines.
The ASA Nuclear Graduate Program is an 18-month program that will support and challenge graduates to develop their skills and try new things while working across multidisciplinary teams.
Graduates will complete three, six-month rotations. Two rotations will be within the ASA and one rotation will be within the broader nuclear ecosystem, which might include rotations in:
- The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO)
- The Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA), or
- other key industry partners.
Applications are now open for high performing graduates in STEM and nuclear-related disciplines. We’re looking for Australians to apply their academic prowess and enthusiasm to contribute towards to the acquisition, construction, delivery, sustainment and disposal of Australia’s conventionally-armed nuclear-powered submarine capability.
Applications close on 15 April 2024.
